So the countdown begins to the big day. We are less than 4 months away! If you haven't booked your accomodations, now would be a good time to get that booked since the rooms will go fast. May is a busy month in Florida.
Also, if you haven't done so already, it's a good time to book your airfares. Some flights have gone up and some have gone down.

- If you are planning to arrive in Florida on Friday and returning on Sunday - Detroit/Sarasota-Bradenton= $265, Flint/Sarasota-Bradenton=$261, Detroit/Tampa=$206, Flint/Tampa=$255.
- If you are planning to arrive in Florida on Thursday and returning on Sunday - Detroit/Sarasota-Bradenton= $265, Flint/Sarasota-Bradenton=$257, Detroit/Tampa=$202, Flint/Tampa=$255.
- If you are planning to arrive in Florida on Wednesday and returning on Monday - Detroit/Sarasota-Bradenton= $207, Flint/Sarasota-Bradenton=$230, Detroit/Tampa=$183, Flint/Tampa=$230.
As for ground transportation, here are your options:
Sarasota/Bradenton airport -

If you would like to rent a car any of the rental car companies will work. I would suggest going through http://www.priceline.com/ to get the best deal.
When you arrive to the Island there is free transportation via the Island trolley throughout the island. You can access the route here by selecting Manatee Trolley Anna Maria Island on the left side: http://www.mymanatee.org/mcat.html

Mucci, Rod, Vitale, Todd and I (Jeff) got a flight to Tampa. There are way more options for time slots. We get in early Thurs and leave at night Sunday, so we can maximize our beach time. It was only $252 total per ticket. I believe they have gone up to around $300 total now. So I would hurry and book your tix. We also rented a Mini-van, which was only $320 total for 4 days for the 5 of us. This comes out to be cheaper than getting cabs and stuff.
